Award Ceremony & Festival of Cheese

For the first time, the Award Ceremony and Festival of Cheese will be combined into one amazing night at Seattle’s prestigious Benaroya Hall, home of the Seattle Symphony. Considered the Oscars of the cheese world, the evening begins in the auditorium, a spectacular space that sets the standard for concert venues in the Pacific Northwest.

 

Immediately following the Ceremony, guests will exit into the main halls – and directly into the Festival of Cheese. Not only will all cheeses be on display, but we have invited Seattle’s best restaurants to serve bites of their favorite dishes. To all this will be added a selection of Washington’s best wineries and breweries pouring their award-winning selections.

 
SPECIAL TASTING WITH MICHAEL POLLAN
For this very exclusive event, we’ll give guests the opportunity to attend a VIP tasting of best-in-category cheeses with our special guest, Michael Pollan. This event will be hosted in the Founders Room at Benaroya where guests can talk with Michael as they sample the “best of the best” cheeses, as well as enjoy delicious foods and an open bar. VIP guests will also receive special box seating for the Award Ceremony.
 
THE SCHEDULE
5:00 pm – Doors Open
5:30 pm – Award Ceremony Begins
6:00 pm – Restaurants, Wineries and Beverage services open
7:00 pm – Cheeses unveiled for tasting, including all of the award winners
9:00 pm – Event ends
 

How to Buy Tickets

Each ticket* includes seating for the Award Ceremony and access to the Festival of Cheese, featuring free bites from Seattle’s best chefs, tastings from Washington’s best wineries and breweries, and, of course, samplings of over 1,300 of North America’s very best artisan cheeses. (Please note: no children under 21 will be admitted to this event)
 
General Public – $85 / ticket
Tickets are still available and can be purchased onsite at Benaroya the night of the event.
 
VIP Tasting with Michael Pollan - $400 / ticket
Due to the special nature of this tasting, tickets can be purchased only by contacting our VIP Guest Coordinator, Katie Crow, at (206) 322-1644 x38 or katie@sugarmtn.net.
 
ACS Members & Guests – Members receive a ticket as part of their registration to the conference, and are given an opportunity during registration to buy extra tickets for their guests at a reduced rate. Onsite registration begins August 25, 2010.
