U.S. Cheesemaker Industry Survey

A Quick Guide to Participating in ACS’s 2016 Research Study on The State of the U.S. Artisan/Specialty Cheese Industry

If you are a licensed cheesemaker operating in the United States (U.S.), we invite you to participate in a research study conducted by the American Cheese Society, with the University of Connecticut, to compile data on the current state of the artisan, farmstead, and specialty cheese industry in the U.S.

Why is this study being done?

The purpose of this research study is to gather critical data about the artisan, farmstead, and specialty cheese industry in the U.S. While such data exist for large commodity producers, no similarly extensive or in-depth information exists on the growing artisan/specialty side of the industry.

 

How can I participate?

Visit http://zwickcenter.uconn.edu/cheese and click on Option 2. You will be asked to enter your company name, after which you will be directed to the survey. Please note that survey results will remain confidential. The survey should only be completed once for each cheesemaking operation.

 

How long will the survey take?

The survey will take about 30 minutes. While it is best to complete the survey in one sitting, it is possible to stop and return later (within a week). If you do return later to finish the survey, you must use the same computer and browser.
