ACS Webinar: How You and Your Cow’s Milk Supplier Can Track and Reduce GHG Emissions: Getting Acquainted with FARM ES

April 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm MDT

Join ACS for a webinar on Friday, April 12th at 1pm MT/3pm ET.

In partnership with the ACS Climate Impact Task Force, join ACS for our second event in our climate impact webinar series; an opportunity to learn and share insights on what our industry’s climate impact is today. Led by Nicole Ayache, Chief Sustainability Officer of National Milk Producers Federation, this webinar will provide a brief background on the development of FARM ES including what was the impetus to start it, why is it administered by NMPF, how was/is it funded, and who is it for. We will also discuss an overview of how the program works: what information is collected, how it gets turned into GHG emissions, the role of the Certified Evaluator, the best practices resources that are available to help guide decisions around GHG emissions mitigation, as well as the enhancements that are expected to roll out later this year. Finally, we will discuss the data policy and provide a tutorial on how to get started.

Speaker: Nicole Ayache, Chief Sustainability Officer, National Milk Producers Federation

In her role as Chief Sustainability Officer, Nicole Ayache leads NMPF’s sustainability strategy and oversees the FARM Program’s Environmental Stewardship and Workforce Development pillars, developing tools and resources to enhance environmental and labor outcomes on U.S. dairy farms and provide supply chain assurances. She leverages her background in environmental science and expertise in value chain sustainability to advance NMPF’s efforts. Before joining NMPF in 2018, she was a consultant for several clients in the food and ag sector, giving her a broad perspective on sustainability. She holds her M.S. in Agriculture, Food and Environment from Tufts University and B.S. in Biology from Yale University.

This webinar is free for all ACS members or $25 for non-members. The recording will also be available on the ACS Learning Center after.
