Next, head to the world-famous Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre to tour the concert facility (including a chance to walk on-stage) and learn about the Park’s history, wildlife, and geology. After a picnic lunch on the rocks, head to the new Farm House at Breckenridge Brewery. Tour the beautiful new state-of-the-art tasting room and brewing facility, and learn about Breckenridge Brewery’s growth from a small producer to one of Colorado’s largest breweries.
7:15 am – 3:00 pm
Kick off this tour with ACS award-winning cheesemaker, Jackie Chang at Haystack Mountain Creamery where you’ll tour the facility, learn about the company’s history, milk sourcing, and taste award winning goat, cow, and mixed-milk cheeses. Next, head down the road to SkyPilot Farm, a 100-year-old farm that was recently purchased after 25 years of neglect, and is in the early stages of transitioning from a small sheep dairy to a farmstead cheesemaking operation. Dairy consultant Neville McNaughton of CheezSorce will walk tour-goers through the process of building a new farmstead cheese production facility. Finally, end the afternoon at one of Denver’s hottest cheese shops, Cheese + Provisions, in the hip Sunnyside neighborhood where you’ll enjoy a mini cheese + charcuterie tasting session led by award-winning producerss. Afterwards enjoy a local “cheese block party” in celebration of Cheese with Altitude!
7:30 am – 3:15 pm
