Open Position – Volunteer Administrative Assistant
As administrative support, this volunteer role is responsible for the coordination and smooth operation of ACS’s daily office tasks, operations, and equipment; data entry and maintenance; and assisting the association’s leadership. The position also provides ongoing support for many ACS services, committees, and staff. This position works collaboratively across the association with an emphasis on supporting the ACS office and programs.

The ACS Conference & Competition takes place with the support of hundreds of volunteers who contribute their time to help make our events successful. Volunteers assist with many aspects of Conference events, from helping behind the scenes of the ACS Judging & Competition to preparing cheeses for the Cheese Sale. Key volunteer roles include the Official Conference Cheesemongers, Back of House Team, and Volunteer Coordinator.
As with any association, much of ACS’s work is done through volunteer efforts provided by ACS committee members and advisors. These volunteers provide support and advice to the Board of Directors and assist the ACS Management Team by sharing their knowledge and expertise.

The ACS Certification Committee is looking to build their pool of “Subject Matter Experts” (SMEs) who assist the certification program in a variety of ways including question writing, exam review, passing score review, new certification development, bibliography review, and more.
