Celebrating American Cheese Month – Taste Off (Round 2): Midwest vs South

October 11, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm CDT

$40

October… it’s one of the best months of the year. It’s a little less warm, football season is in full swing, Halloween is right around the corner, and, perhaps most importantly, it’s the time to celebrate the delicious diversity that cheesemakers all over North America provide to us cheese lovers. Yes, that’s right! October is American Cheese Month, and we are pulling out all the stops here at Antonelli’s. Join us this month as we pit the major regions of American cheese against each other in a taste-off series. Five percent of class ticket sales will go to the American Cheese Education Foundation (ACEF) which awards scholarships and supports educational opportunities for all those interested in making, selling, and appreciating North America’s artisan, farmstead, and specialty cheeses. To learn more about the ACE Foundation, click here.

This tasting is Round 2 of our American Cheese Month Taste Off that will feature cheeses from the Midwest going up against cheeses from the South. Wisconsin, Minnesota, watch out, because Texas is coming for you! Never before has there been a region-to-region rivalry like this one. We’ll taste through four rounds, for a total of 8 cheeses, accompanied by olives, nuts, and Easy Tiger bread. Come help us crown the best coast that will then go up against the winning region from our Round 1 tasting!
