Joining the team in 2019, Dawn is the Marketing & Development Director for the American Cheese Society. She has strategic responsibility for all marketing, communications, public relations, and development efforts. She partners with corporate leaders and private individuals to grow their professional brands, with an emphasis on stewardship and relationship building.
Committed to connecting people to the mission, Dawn enjoys building and optimizing programs for success through creative solutions. Bringing more than a decade of experience in non-profits to ACS, she has worked extensively in annual campaigns, direct mail and membership programs, event management and sponsorship, marketing and communications, and database management. Dawn has also worked in major and planned gifts as well as board development and strategic planning, bringing a comprehensive approach to her role. Throughout her career, Dawn has worked with organizations across a variety of sectors – from education and health care, to large public cultural institutions.
As the granddaughter of farmers and dairy farm managers, Dawn is passionate about working with members and the ACS team to champion engagement, revenue growth, and foster awareness. She holds a B.S. Magna cum laude in English and Writing from Drury University. When she’s not fundraising or sharing the ACS story, Dawn enjoys spending her time checking things off her Colorado adventure list and celebrating all the state has to offer. She also enjoys all aspects of the arts, cultivating her plant collection, anything related to animals, and relaxing by watching cooking shows.
