The American Cheese Society is the leader in promoting and supporting American cheeses and we held our first face-to-face conference since 2019 in July 2022. Attendees were able to gather together for education and hands-on training, sampling cheese and other specialty food products, and networking with colleagues. Conference favorites like Meet the Cheesemaker, Judging & Competition Awards, Midnight Mongers, Cheese Crawl and more were back!
COVID-19 Safety Precautions
Your health and safety is of utmost importance to us. We will monitor and follow all current state and local regulations regarding Covid-19 protocols at the time of the event, which may include masking, vaccinations, and/or distancing. We will send all registrants additional information regarding any necessary protocols you may need to be aware of as the date gets closer.
Oregon Convention Center – As of March 12, the face coverings and additional COVID-19 safety measures such as required vaccinations or negative tests will no longer be required. OCC employees will continue to be required to wear face coverings while onsite and when indoors.
Oregon Convention Center
The 39th ACS Annual Conference took place at the Oregon Convention Center. The Oregon Convention Center has long held a leadership role in green building and other environmentally responsible business practices. In 2004, they were the first convention center to earn the U.S. Green Building Council‘s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) for Existing Buildings certification. In 2008, the facility was recertified at the Silver level. In 2014, they reached the biggest milestone yet by earning LEED® Platinum, the highest level of certification.
