Steve Binns joined the staff of the American Cheese Society in 2012 and is currently ACS’s Meetings & Events Manager. After growing up in Massachusetts and attending the University of Vermont, Steve moved to Jackson, Wyoming to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a ski bum. He skied days and worked nights at a high end hotel. After a countless number of ski days in the winter and fly fishing days in the summer, Steve decided to move to Denver, CO to get a taste for the “big city”. Steve’s passion for beer and wine brought him to his current position at the American Cheese Society. His favorite aspect of ACS is working with members at events like the Great American Beer Festival, Fancy Food Shows, and the ACS Conference & Competition, where he gets to interact with all of ACS’s wonderful members. When Steve isn’t in the office you can find him hiking in the mountains for deep snow or large fish.
