Membership Levels

    ACS membership is available to anyone involved in the industry as a cheesemaker, trade affiliate, or as someone who is simply passionate about American-made artisan and specialty cheeses. Membership is available at two levels: Professional and Associate.

    PROFESSIONAL LEVEL MEMBERSHIP

    Professional Membership in the American Cheese Society is available for individuals working within the cheese industry as producers or trade affiliates.

    • Producer members are defined as individuals and companies involved in the production of cheese and dairy products.
    • Trade affiliate members are defined as individuals and companies involved in the distribution and marketing of cheese and/or cheese-related products—retailers, foodservice/restaurateurs, distributors, suppliers, writers/PR, educators, affineurs, and technical members.

    Membership is $199 per person and active through December 31, 2017.

    ASSOCIATE LEVEL MEMBERSHIP

    Student

    Student Membership is available for students currently enrolled at a higher education facility who would like to gain and/or increase their knowledge about the world of specialty cheese. Membership is $95 per person and active through December 31, 2017.

    Enthusiast
    Enthusiast Membership is designed for individuals who are not working in the cheese industry, but would like to gain and/or increase their knowledge about the world of specialty cheese.  Membership is $150 per person and active through December 31, 2017.
