Mark Goldman

Bio:  In 2006, Mark Goldman founded Formaticum, an importer of European cheese packaging. Over the past five years, Formaticum has become a national brand, carried by hundreds of stores and featured in media outlets ranging from the New York Times and Bon Appetit to Daily Candy. Mark started his cheese career under Steve Jones, and then worked for Provvista. His range of experiences spans the entire supply chain and has provided Mark with a unique perspective into the cheese industry. The success of Formaticum points to his skill in launching a brand and managing a thriving business.

Statement of Intent: It is an honor to be considered for membership on the Board of the American Cheese Society. Without the hard work and leadership of ACS, the extraordinary growth of the cheese industry in the United States would never have been possible. As a member of the next generation of cheese professionals, I am committed to helping forge the strategies for ACS to ensure continued growth and success for the next 29 years. I will help ACS engage all of its members, and I will advocate for a plan that expands the role of ACS from an organization focused on production to one that serves the needs of retailers as well. I believe that sustained growth for both the organization and the industry requires an ACS focused on developing opportunities to support its entire membership.
