Kirstin Jackson, Wine and Cheese Consultant, Author, and Educator

Kirstin Jackson is the author of It’s Not You, it’s Brie: Unwrapping America’s Unique Cheese Culture, a book that takes readers backstage and into underground caves to explore funky scents and traditions linking today’s cheese makers to American history and culture. Jackson is also a consultant, educator, professionally trained cook, wine bar manager, and cheese program director whose fridge and head is almost entirely consumed with dairy products. She thanks and blames her parents, who took her on trips to the California dairy country at a very young age, for feeding the obsession. She currently resides in Oakland.
