fonduejaneeJanee’ Muha has had a decade long tryst in the world of cheese where she has seen many changes in the industry. The food renaissance that has come about in the last few years has made being cheesy much more fun. Not as many people laugh at her profession now and people are more likely to lament to her how they would love her job.

Janee’ has traveled to exotic locations on her quest for knowledge. She has seen Gruyere caves in Switzerland and multiple caves in France including some in the basement of a house! Wherever she travels, a trip to the cheese shop is one of the first stops.  She is always searching out the flavors of the local fare. Many of her vacations have been based around a cheese event or specific cheese release.

Janee’ successfully passed the ACS CCP™ test in 2013 and proudly wears the title. She has been a Cheese Specialist in two different Whole Foods Markets in Oregon and Washington. Her current project is in the beginning stages of opening a roving cheese truck that will serve her passion for cheese and her love for travel.

When Janee’ is not enjoying cheesy adventures, she can be found spending time with her husband and cat, hosting dinners and parties with friends, and road trips to new places.
