Jane Bauer serves as ACS’s Certification Manager. She joined ACS in 2011 after many years working in telecommunications and media. Even while working in the corporate world, her passion has always been food that is sustainably grown. Her work with the Slow Food movement introduced her to many local farmers and producers, including cheesemakers, and fueled her passion for artisan cheese. Her favorite part of the job is working with all of the ACS Certified Cheese Professionals® and talking with all of the members at the ACS Conference & Competition. Jane graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in agriculture and has her MBA in marketing from University of Denver. When Jane isn’t in the office, you can usually find her reading or talking about food, especially the cheesy type. She enjoys traveling with her husband, who is in the wine industry, and recently visited Iceland, Cuba, Italy, France, Australia, and Spain.
