Opening Reception
 This year, the Seattle Aquarium will be hosting the Opening Reception. Located on Seattle’s Waterfront, the Seattle Aquarium features indoor and outdoor exhibits designed to get visitors up close and personal with the Pacific Northwest’s beautiful marine life. For this event, ACS members and their guests will be taking over the aquarium for the evening, with unlimited access to all of the many exhibits on display. The main event for the evening will take place on the back deck of the Aquarium, where we’ll have live music, delicious food and signature cocktails as we watch the sun set over the Puget Sound.
Award Ceremony & Festival of Cheese
This year, the Award Ceremony and Festival of Cheese will be combined into one amazing night at Seattle’s prestigious Benaroya Hall, home of the Seattle Symphony. We’ll start off the evening in the auditorium, a spectacular space that seats over 2,500 people and sets the standard for concert venues in the Pacific Northwest. This year, our Award Ceremony will be open to the public, giving cheese fans a chance to join in the celebration.
 Immediately following the Ceremony, guests will exit into the main halls – and directly into the Festival of Cheese. Not only will all cheeses be on display, but we have invited Seattle’s best restaurants to serve bites of their favorite dishes. To all this will be added a selection of Washington’s best wineries pouring their award-winning wines.
To add icing to the cake, we’ll give guests the opportunity to attend a VIP tasting of the award winners with our closing keynoter, Michael Pollan. This event will be hosted in a separate room where guests can talk with Michael as they sample the “best of the best” cheeses, as well as enjoy delicious foods and an open bar.
