Cheese-a-Topia Tours
These tours will take place on Wednesday, August 25th, and serve as your introduction to our land of Cheese-a-Topia. Depending on what city you fly into, we’ll take you on a winding tour through the cheesemaking countryside, visiting farmers and cheesemakers in our region that serve as part of the backbone of Cheese-a-Topia. All roads lead to Seattle, where you’ll be able to kick off the conference on Thursday with a little of our cheesemaking vision.
Tour 1: Portland to Seattle
Tour 2: Vancouver, B.C. to Seattle
Tour 3: Seattle – Western Route
Tour 4: Seattle – Eastern Route

Seattle is the tourist and business destination of the Northwest. Surrounded by water and mountains, Seattle is a haven for the outdoor-minded as well as the urban dwellers. Seattle is home to innovation, architectural wonders, diverse culture, culinary delights, and so much more. There are so many things to see and do on your visit, from wine tasting to visiting Snoqualmie Falls, biking the Burke Gilman Trail along Lake Washington to exploring the Pike Place Market. Seattle City Highlights
Be escorted around town by a friendly and informative Seattleite who will provide historical background of the area, point out interesting landmarks, as well as give insider tips on special shopping and sightseeing areas.
The tour will take you through historic neighborhoods, like Pioneer Square and the International District, and alongside Seattle’s bustling waterfront, with stops at Seattle landmarks, such as the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, the Space Needle, and the popular Pike Place Market.

Culinary Pike Place Market Tour
On this tour, guests will eat their way through Seattle’s most celebrated culinary landmark, the Pike Place Market. Known for its exciting sights, sounds and aromas, this nine-acre historic district is a vital part of Seattle’s social and economic fabric. Born in 1907, Pike Place Market is the oldest continually-operating farmers’ market in the United States. The market features 600 businesses where local farmers and merchants offer a diverse array of products.

Sailing on the Puget Sound
Take the helm, trim the sail... Seattle boasts the highest number of boats per capita than any other U.S. city. This sailing adventure begins in Seattle's historic waterfront and travels through the bustling Puget Sound harbor. Upon arrival, the group will be giving a sailing lesson on the newly renovated Neptune’s Car. This cruise offers spectacular views of Seattle including the city skyline, one of the world's largest shipping terminals and the majestic Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges.
