ACS Judging and Competition
The 25th Annual Judging and Competition was a record-breaking year. Nearly 200 producers from 32 states, Canada and Mexico entered a total of 1,327 cheeses and cultured dairy products - 119 more than the previous record from 2007.
Rogue Creamery from Central Point, Oregon took home Best in Show for its Rogue River Blue, pictured at right. Second place went to Cowgirl Creamery's Redhawk.
Third place was a tie between Carr Valley Cheese's
Cave Aged Mellage and Consider Bardwell Farm's Rupert.
Plans are already well underway for the 2010 ACS Conference.
Mark your calendar and plan to attend the 27th Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington, August 25-28, 2010.

Crisis Management Tool Kit Available ACS Marketing & PR Committee Co-Chairs Greg O'Neill and Jill Giacomini Basch have created an American Cheese Society (ACS) Crisis Management Tool Kit. The plan includes the basic components for handling a crisis which threatens your cheese business.
While designed primarily for producers, many aspects of this kit are pertinent and at a minimum, educational for the entire supply chain. ACS has developed this kit in conjunction with its industry partners in order to continue to provide its membership with truly helpful year-round membership benefits.
The goal of the tool kit is to give you the foundation for identifying and managing a crisis from a public relations perspective - so you don't feel as if you are starting from "square one".
