Arriving by Car
You’ll find plenty of parking convenient to all that downtown Madison and Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center have to offer. Monona Terrace features a 600-space, cashier-operated parking structure, which is accessible via East Wilson Street and the eastbound lanes of John Nolen Drive.
Short-term and all-day public parking is provided throughout downtown Madison in various structures and lots. On-street parking is also available for short-term parking in central Madison.
Bus parking and passenger drop-off is accessible from the Wilson Street entrance to Monona Terrace. Click here to view the Monona Terrace parking map.
Disabled parking stalls are available at no cost for Monona Terrace event parking on the upper drive-through/drop-off level near the parking meter areas on both sides of Monona Terrace. Disabled parking stalls are available for a charge on the lower parking level in front of the Level Three entrance. Curb cuts are located in close proximity to accessible parking and make travel to the building convenient.
You can also visit the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center website for full information on driving directions and parking.
Upon arrival, all presenters should stop by the ACS Registration Desk located in the Main Lobby of the Monona Terrace Convention Center. Pick up your registration packet on-site at the Pre-Registration area which will include your Conference Name Badge, Presenter Ribbon, and a reminder with details about your session’s date, time, and location. We also suggest you view the Conference Schedule to familiarize yourself with the details of your session.
If you have not already done so, please submit your presentation (PowerPoint or other format) to Steve Binns at email@example.com immediately. The deadline to submit your session is June 15. All sessions will be posted on the members-only section of the ACS website immediately following the Conference. Any additional related articles, materials, or handouts you supply will also be posted for you. These should be submitted NOW in order to be posted to the website during the conference.
The deadline for submission of handouts for printing by ACS is June 15, 2013. If you submit materials for printing by the deadline, these will be in your session room set out on each attendee’s chair. If you have handouts for your session that were not submitted by the deadline, you are responsible for printing them yourself and bringing them to your session. A conference staff member or volunteer will be available to distribute the handouts for you. Please contact Steve Binns at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out the quantity you will need to print for your particular session.
All concurrent sessions last 90 minutes and should begin and end promptly at the designated time. Please arrive in your session room to confirm that the audio-visual set-up is working properly and that any other special details or equipment are in order. If there is any problem, report it immediately to the nearest conference staff member or to the Registration Desk. An ACS Board Member or volunteer will be on hand to introduce you. If you are a moderator or a presenter of a cheesemaking demonstration, you will find a brief introductory script in your registration packet.
PLEASE NOTE: All speakers must bring your own laptop. ACS cannot provide these for you. If you have a Mac computer, please bring ALL cords with you. Since Mac’s come equipped with multiple cords and adaptors it will be your responsibility to bring the appropriate cord for A/V setup.
ACS will have a bookstore open to attendees throughout the conference. The bookstore will be located in the Lakeside Commons of the Monona Terrace Convention Center. The schedule for book signings has already been set for 2013.
ACS truly appreciates your support of the ACS 30th Anniversary: In a Dairy State of Mind conference. If you have any questions about the conference or your role as a presenter, please don’t hesitate to contact Michelle Lee at email@example.com or Steve Binns at firstname.lastname@example.org.
