Marion Street Cheese Market in Oak Park, IL (just outside Chicago) is seeking an experienced Cheese Department Manager.  You must have previous cheesemongering and managerial experience in a busy, fast-paced cheese counter.  You should know how to operate all aspects of a cheese and charcuterie counter.  You should know how to manage, train and mentor your staff.  You should have outstanding customer service skills.   You should be passionate and knowledgeable about artisan, particularly American artisan cheese as that is our specialty.   You should have some previous restaurant experience, as this position also develops all cheese and charcuterie flights served in our bistro.  This is an extremely exciting opportunity for the passionate cheese professional.  This is a salaried position with benefits including BCBS healthcare and vacation.
